Sébastien Chonavey

Sébastien Chonavey is a doctoral student at the Université libre de Bruxelles. His research focuses on apocalyptic discourses. He holds a Régenda in French and Moral Studies, followed by a Master's degree in French and Romance languages and literature, as well as a Capaes from the ULB in the same year. He is a reservist and one of the founders of the MilClub de Belgique.

Maxime Mathieu

MCB Deputy Director: Bernard Van Oost, who holds a Master's degree in Law and is currently pursuing an LL.M. in International Business Law. As a reservist since 2021, he brings his legal expertise to the service of Defense and is also designated as Liaison Officer. He is one of the founders of the Belgian MilClub.

Thomas van Zwol

MCB Secretary: Thomas van Zwol works for a public institution promoting the fight against discrimination. A former parliamentary attaché and trade unionist, he holds three different Masters degrees (European Affairs, Political Science and Religious and Secular Sciences). He is a reservist and one of the founders of the Belgian MilClub.

Mathias Vanbeckevoort

Mathias Vanbeckevoort is a graduate of ICHEC and a bank employee. He is a reservist logistics officer and one of the founders of the MilClub de Belgique.

MCB Academic Manager

Tatiana Letovaltseva

Letovaltseva Tatiana is an officer in the Belgian army. After completing her Master's degree in Social and Military Sciences, she held various command positions in the 4th Engineer Battalion in the CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) field and took part in two operational missions. Since 2018, she has been the coordinator of the Belgian military chaplaincies. In the meantime, she has completed a Master's degree in Interfaith Dialogue and World Religions at KU Leuven and is currently working on a doctoral thesis on the reform of Belgian military chaplaincies. She is one of the founders of the Belgian MilClub.

Maxime de la Vallée Poussin

Maxime de la Vallée is in charge of the Navy's new underwater warfare simulator, as well as Safety Officer for his unit, the Navy Academy. He holds a master's degree in weapons technology from the Royal Military Academy. As part of his duties, he regularly collaborates with fellow reservists. He is one of the founding members of the Belgian MilClub.

Galaad Wilgos

Galaad Wilgos is a journalist and translator. He has written for Le droit de vivre, Slate.fr, Le monde diplomatique, Marianne and Socialter, and has just translated the English essay The Experience Society (translation to be published in 2024). He is also a reservist and one of the founding members of Belgium's MilClub.

Victor Arcos

Victor Arcos is a young doctor specializing in general surgery. A triathlete and artist in his spare time. A medical reservist, he is one of the founding members of the Belgian MilClub.

Nicolas Solonakis

Nicolas Solonakis is a historian with a PhD in History, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Geography. Initially a teacher-researcher, his work focused on the social and economic history of agriculture and food in the Greco-Roman Mediterranean. Now an active officer, he is one of the founding members of the MilClub de Belgique.

International Manager

Yvan Dheur

Yvan Dheur holds numerous diplomas (Orthopedagogy, Agogie, Political Sociology, International Relations and Security, Critical and Comparative Studies of Religions, Practisch Vrijzinnig Humanisme). He has also completed the Hautes Études en Sécurité et Défense program at the Institut Royal Supérieur de Défense. He is Moral Advisor at Zaventem airport and is in charge of their EU-UN International Representation. He is a reservist for the Service d'Assistance Religieuse et Morale and a founding member of the MilClub de Belgique.

Alban Velija

Alban Velija is an attaché-economist in a public administration, constantly battling against the Kafkaesque reflexes of his peers. He holds a Master's degree in economics from ULB. He is a civilian, and one of the founding members of the MilClub de Belgique.
