WHO WE ARE

Context

Faced with the feeling of mistrust between the world of university campuses and colleges and the military world, and with international tensions exacerbating warlike impulses, we, Belgian citizens, civilians, reservists or active servicemen, felt the urgent need to act. That's why, in July 2022, we launched the MilClub de Belgique project.

Objectives

The MilClub de Belgique works to strengthen cooperation between civilians and the military, to promote the democratic participation of citizens in society, and to support links between Defense and the academic world (students, researchers, professors, alumni and citizens linked to Universities or Hautes-Écoles). It also aims to encourage autonomy and the dissemination of knowledge, as well as to improve between the country's linguistic communities.

Vision

Our network, which is bilingual, non-partisan, independent, non-profit and active on Belgian campuses, supports the values of peace, linguistic inter-comprehension and democracy that guarantee the smooth running of our country, and strengthens the bridges between the academic and defense worlds. To this end, we organize a variety of activities around the themes of security and defense.
